E-mail Print PDF

A place you can find almost everything .... food.

 Taste Good

Bandong shophouses, situated in Malay Kampong (village),  were builded by SEDC about 7 years ago (in 1990) as venue for Malays to do their business. Chinese hawkers joined in at later stage to provide more varieties to the customers.

Fully packed with customers

It has about sixty hawker stores and can accommodate about 2,000 to 3,000 customers. During the day, not many visit the place as it is an open air hawker centre. From 6:00 p.m., local people will come in group gradually to pack the place. The centre starts cleaning up at 12:00 midnight.

Cook in action

The centre provides Malay, Indian and Chinese food, like Satai, Mee Gorang, Barbeque Fish, Chicken and Sotong, Rojek, Lodi Chanai, Umai (fresh fish with venegar and species), Chinese fried noodles, chinese fried chicken, chinese steam fish and ......... etc.

Satay for you?

If you come to visit Sibu, ask your friend to bring you there to enjoy the delicious food.
