"You told everyone here you have no coffee !"
Two English tourists came to a Hockien town and decided to have a sip of local coffee so they entered a coffee shop. A coffee shop worker came to take the order.
They ordered two cups of coffee. The worker shouted to the back of the coffee shop "Kopi No....." .
On hearing that two English tourists decided to leave but the worker stopped them and asked why they had ordered the drinks and yet decided to leave. "You told everyone here you have no coffee !" came the answer.
[Note : In Hockien dialect, "Kopi" = Coffee and "No ..... " = two]
