After dismissed as DUN member owing to double citizenship dispute and the allegation of bankruptcy opposition member decided to proceed with court case to 'right the wrong'.

From DUN to Court

When registering as a candidate for election one must be Malaysian and not a bankrupt at that very moment as it is the requirement. If the candidate is a citizen of another country and at the same time he is a Malaysian too then we have to check whether under Malaysia laws he is allowed to hold both citizenship. If the answer is negative then he has disqualified himself from the day of registration as a candidate even if he is now no loner a citizen of another country. Similarly, at the time of registration as a candidate for election if one was a bankrupt then same ruling will apply.
