Former Penang CM Koh Tsu Koon, has labelled his successor, DAP's Lim Guan Eng as a "twister king" and a "mis-leader" for his style of governance.
Koh, who is Gerakan president and a federal minister, said he was collecting and collating cases and statistics to show that Guan Eng since 2008, has "clearly twisted" facts and figures to either cover up his wrongdoings or run down the previous BN administration.
When asked what took him so long to do it - since Guan Eng (left) has ruled Penang for four years - Koh said it was a process that took time.
"In the beginning, for two or three years, it was very difficult (for us)," he told a press conference after opening the state delegates' conference today.
"Now we are working together. There is a new drive and things are beginning to take shape.
"We will show how he played with numbers and twisted them. We are dealing with numbers here...so we have to do it one by one," he added.
Koh, who has expressed his intention not to contest in the coming general election, said that he had gathered enough evidence on three to four incidents.
He added that Penang was part of his nationwide focus, and that he was not giving it a special attention as the state party and BN already had committed people to do the job.
He stressed that he was doing this as the issues raised or touched on by Guan Eng were matters he dealt with in the past, where he was chief minister for 18 years.
"We already gave examples of the inconsistencies, especially in the case of Tan Hak Ju, who is suing the state government for a land matter.
"Guan Eng has continued to attack us even though this case was in court. He didn't care at all (about the matter being in court), he just wanted to demolish us
"It was totally and utterly irresponsible to continue attacking us when the courts did not make a decision on the case yet...he (Guan Eng) has no interest in the state or Penangites," he stressed.
"But when it comes to criticisms on hill projects, he cannot reply because the cases are at the Appeals Board. Maybe he cannot reply..." Koh added.
Koh said it had taken his team four years and more to show Guan Eng's true character, which BN leaders described as "arrogant and dictatorial".
'FOI, my foot!'
Meanwhile, the convention today attended by about 200 delegates passed five resolutions on affordable housing, traffic woes and conjestion, free port status restoration, freedom of information and hill slope development.
During the press conference, Koh was asked regarding the hill slopeprojects - revealed by the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) - which were given planning permission by the BN administration under his leadership.
Koh refrained from commenting, saying the issue had been taken up by Gerakan's local government bureau chief Teh Leong Meng, and the latter would respond accordingly.
He then urged the state government to be "transparent" by revealing the related contour maps, saying they were presented to the MPPP and could show what really happened on the ground.
"The state government has to be consistent. They bragged about the Freedom of Information Act but they do not practise it. They talk about transparency but they cover up," said Koh.
"Freedom of Information Act? My foot!" he exclaimed.
